Wild Strawberries is a 1957 Swedish film written and directed by Ingmar Bergman.

In one sentence  it is the recluse retrospection of a series of dreams and nostalgia. The story is about a 75 year old doctor who has to attend an ceremony which in his honor, awards him of excellence in the field of medicine and surgery. Instead of taking a flight the doctor prefers to travel by car which is over 11  hours journey. He intends to meet with his mother(who is still alive at an age of 96). His journey is accompanied by some weird dreams and figments of nostalgia which drives him to a sea of emotions and introspection. He is also accompanied by is daughter in law who is also struck by the
stringent personality the mother,the father  and the son posses. He also meets different people with different identities. A journey that makes an old man weary of the fact how hes so in recluse with the time of his life and shows up the mirror of retribution and finally comes to solace, a kind of agreement to the karma before the old man realizes it all as a whole as a cheerful recollection     of  his love, life and death.
